Late March saw the launch of Misraji & Bejar Abogados, a new tax and corporate boutique law firm based in Santiago, founded by former Albagli Zaliasnik lawyers Arie Misraji and Camilo Béjar. The team is expecting two new lawyers and two paralegals to join by the end of 2020.
Bejar's practice includes advising both national and foreign clients in matters related to tax nature, such as strategic planning of investments, tax modeling, investment and enterprise development, financing, structuring in acquisition, divestment and sale of companies, corporate and business restructuring, family group restructuring and advice in litigation tributary. He is the leading partner of the tax practice.
A graduate of Universidad Diego Portales, he has a master’s in direction and tax management from the Adolfo Ibáñez University.
Misraji, who leads the corporate practice, is an experienced lawyer in M&A, contracts, reorganization and asset restructuring. In addition, he has broad experience in the project and business areas, real estate, regulatory and compliance, financial and capital markets areas.
He is a graduate of the University of Chile and holds a master’s in business law from the Adolfo Ibáñez University.
“Today, many law firms, especially the most traditional, have lost the ability to get involved with the client’s business, given that they are concerned with matters linked to the operation of the firm, than with other aspects, becoming legal providers. For the same reason, and faced with a dynamic market that has other needs, we decided to create a firm that is characterized by its professionals becoming involved as a strategic partner of their clients,” explained Misraji.
“We wanted to establish a boutique law firm, specialized in two areas of practice, to maintain specialization and, thus, be able to fulfill the demand of many organizations that want a real compromise &, flexibility, considering that all organizations are different,” added Béjar.
